The MOSS Band with join with fellow Artist Forte at the Wheaty to raise money for White Ribbon

Wheatsheaf  Hotel

39 George Street

Thebarton SA 5031

White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end men’s violence against women and girls, promote gender equality, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity.

Vision

A nation that respects women, in which every woman lives in safety, free from all forms of men’s abuse

Mission

White Ribbon is a unique, national primary prevention social change organisation that works through a primary prevention approach based on the understanding that men are central to achieving the social change necessary to stop violence against women. We engage men to stand up, speak out and act to influence the attitudes and behaviours of some men who commit violence against women, based on the understanding that most men are not violent.

Through education, awareness raising, creative campaigns, preventative programs and partnerships, White Ribbon provides the tools for men to stop violence against women in their community and beyond.

Angas Plains Estate Wines

MOSS DUO performs at Angas Plains Wines

Phillip bought into a private pipeline to deliver River Murray Water to his property providing the opportunity to re-develop his mixed farm into a vineyard in the Langhorne Creek Wine region.

In 1993 Phillip carefully selected vine material which he used to develop his own vineyard nursery and this was the start of Angas Plains Estate.

In 1994 the first Cabernet Sauvignon was planted. Together Phillip & Judy continued to develop a new block of vines each year, finishing with Chardonnay in 2002.

In 2002 Angas Plains Estate produced its first vintage of wine. A very small crush to produce PJ’s Cabernet Sauvignon.

In 2003 production expanded to produce PJ’s Shiraz and PJ’s Cabernet Sauvignon, with production increasing annually, while also maintaining the supply of grapes to some other buyers.

In 2005 the wine storage was constructed on the property.

In October 2006 PJ’s Cellar door opened and the facilities have been expanding ever since, to ensure visitors can enjoy their visit on our lovely property.

Visitors to our cellar door bring little snippets of their lives which key into Angas Plains Wines. This blending and weaving of stories ranges from how the district and farming have changed to what’s happening in other districts and the joy and heartbreak of people’s life journeys.

It is wonderful to embrace this with others!

Macclesfield RSL (Charity Event)

MOSS band is looking forward to performing at the Macclesfield RSL.

Macclesfield is a town in the picturesque Adelaide Hills which has just celebrated its 175th Birthday. The Sub-Branch also has a long history (established in 1941 during World War Two) and this year is also 75 years young! We are now more involved with our community than ever before and our membership is at its largest level ever. The Sub Branch is situated in the heart of town, Venables St, Macclesfield, South Australia, in the historic old school building which dates back over 160 years. The RSL has occupied this building since 1958. Carparking is available in front with the rear yard now reserved for our 150 year plus old heritage listed English Oak Tree.

Our membership of 180 consists of both Full Service Members and Affiliates. Many are whole families! All members of the public who support the ideals of the RSL are strongly encouraged to apply for membership of our Sub Branch and enjoy the privilage of having joined what we think is Australia’s most revered Organisation.

The Sub Branch is open often and all members and the public are invited to come and enjoy the fellowship and great country hospitality. Also take the time to view our growing list of memorabilia or just research some of your family.
